Review of Blue Beetle (2023) by Malkaiden — 19 Aug 2023
In a world of superhero glut, Blue Beetle is a breath of fresh air. Yes, it hits on the same beats of the formula as most movies created today, however it dares to show more heart than your run-of-the-mill superhero flick. It’s filled with great actors that bring life where many movies come up short. Plenty of action, great visuals, both humor and touching moments weave together a well-paced movie.
I didn’t know much about Blue Beetle before this movie, but after seeing the movie, I’m a new fan.
I hope this is a taste of things to come in the new DC cinematic universe.
