Review of Blow-Up (1966) by Nate W — 26 Jul 2009
"Blowup" follows a fashion photographer who longs for more challenging projects in swinging 1960's Britain, played nicely by David Hemmings. The plot takes an intriguing turn when our character believes he's captured evidence of a murder in his lens, but the film's most memorable quality is the subversive commentary in the culture of the time and place, not the least of which is the objectification of women.
