Review of Blow-Up (1966) by Alex H — 28 Oct 2013
Love the visuals throughout. I liked the story, too, until the arty ambitions overwhelmed it. I felt the same way toward the end of Stroszek, since both end on scenes that elicit "huh?"s. It's not that I mind the arty ambiguity, because I love the arty ambiguity, but when the arty ambiguity is topped off at the end with truly pompous nonsense, it all deflates a bit.
