Review of Blow-Up (1966) by Shane S — 08 Nov 2010
A really odd and artsy film from the guy who singlehandedly ruined his career with "Zabriskie Point", this one deals with the exploits of a photographer who may or may not have photographed a murder in progress. Then again, he just cares about the free groupie sex and art.
And yes, this was released in the US. And a big hit. Maybe boobs attract filmgoers. And those mimes.
It does suffer, but its art does do some effective justice throughout. I still need to see "Zabriskie Point".
