Review of Blow Out (1981) by James S — 01 Dec 2007
Tension free for the most part, this starts out with a very promising premise but meanders along through a series off dull scenes, bad acting and dull twists. The film only really comes to life in the last act when John Lithgow is present but it's too little too late.
It's typically Brian De Palma, dark and unglamourous and in tradition, the final scene is shocking but in this case unnecessary and a bit sick.
