Review of Blow Out (1981) by Keith ? — 13 Oct 2008
A intensive thriller, and from the inspiration of Antonioni Blow-Up. This late Hollywood new-wave piece is telling up De Palma is still a major player of the filed. Travolta did a very good performance, right behind Pulp Fiction.
I think that is the reason Tarantino cast him, well, since he is a big fan of De Palma. The conspiracy theme is very clever move. De Palma shows his idea about the American society about how unreliable the government was.
A time forgotten masterpiece.
