Review of Blow Out (1981) by Jeff B — 27 May 2011
I saw this for the first time and really liked it. De Palma makes a nice homage to Antonioni, I loved the whole bridge sequence, it was perfectly filmed and edited. It felt like the script needed a bit more, it seemed like some of the politics was missing and Lithgow just showed up out of nowhere.
But I loved the ending, I'm sure if this was made today it would be a completely different ending.
