Review of Blow Out (1981) by Alan L — 08 Aug 2013
Rewatched Brian De Palma's classic conspiracy thriller, out now on Blu-Ray. John Travolta and Nancy Allen are engaging leads. The camerawork, picture and sound editing are top notch. As is the story, although towards the end DePalma can't resist veering into delirious melodrama, layered with an overblown Pino Donaggio score.
Very entertaining.
