Review of Blow Out (1981) by Adam S — 04 Aug 2011
Brian De Palma puts his unique post-modern spin on "Blow Up" and "The Conversation", suffusing John Travolta in a cornucopia of deep focus, neon lights, crackling sound effects, and one big, messy political murder conspiracy.
Criterion's restoration and HD transfer is pure eye candy, and the extras are especially plentiful, with a long interview with De Palma, and co-star Nancy Allen.
