Review of Bloody Sunday (2002) by Andy B — 21 Mar 2009
I'll give it a couple of stars, since the film is very good by artistic standards, but its otherwise useless movie. It falls to the same trap as many other films concerning the same subject, trying to put an entire conflict in a one-sided extreme event.
"Bloody Sunday" is extremely Anti-British Pro-Eire, but thats not its major drawback. "Bloody Sunday" the movie portrays "Bloody Sunday" the event as THE essence of the 400 year old Irish-British conflict.
Unless there was a movie dealing with atrocities done by the IRA that I missed, I dont really see the point of this movie. I'll just catalog this as a very well acted and directed propaganda movie.
