Review of Bloody Sunday (2002) by Marc L — 10 Sep 2011
You may have remind yourself now and again that this isn't a documentary. Writer-director Paul Greengress achieves an immediate depiction of social protest and violence that is nothing short of visceral and overwhelming.
He literally puts you right in the middle of this historic tragedy, and its raw nerves and anguish capture a universality that can be applied to any horror committed in the name of a cause. The acting matches the conviction of the camera work in putting you right there.
