My favourite manga film. It's kind of like Buffy meets Men In Black in a Manga style. Very cool, lots of action and some nice anti-war sentiment too. Part of it's strength lies in the mystery of the main character and the fact that you never learn all that much about her.
A series has since been made (a bit of a buffy paralell here!) but I haven't seen that much of it and didn't enjoy what I saw. Blood was very cutting edge (excuse the pun) for it's combining 2D hand drawn animation with 3D Computer Generated Imagery.
This film was also the inspiration behind the manga sequence in Kill Bill Vol. 1.
