Review of Blood Simple (1985) by Adam M — 20 Aug 2008
When a Texan bar owner discovers his wife has been cheating on him he hires a private investigator to spy on them and later, kill them. But things don't go to plan when the investigator decides it would be easier to kill the bar owner than the couple.
There's paranoia, betrayal and deception from everyone as we see that this murder isn't going to be as simple to cover up and forget about as the investigator, the bar owners wife and her lover seem to at first believe.
Good script, good performances.A decent noir-ish thriller from the Coen brothers.
