Review of Blood Simple (1985) by Adam G — 01 Dec 2008
Closer in tone to The Man Who Wasn't There or No Country For Old Men than any of the Coens' other works, Blood Simple is a clever, slow-burning thriller that really picks up after the slightly tepid first act.
The dialogue is excellent, the cinematography is superb, and the acting is spot on. A good debut from the Coens.
