Review of Blood Simple (1985) by Tiffany G — 07 Dec 2008
This definitely has the marks of a Coen brothers film, but you can tell that this is them at the beginning, unpolished. The amazing cinematography is there, but the plot could be tighter. In some ways, this is almost a prequel to Fargo and No Country for Old Men.
Not with the specific characters, but with the plot. The seeds of those movies are here.
