Review of Blood Simple (1985) by Zach M — 23 Dec 2010
I absolutely loved this early film from Ethan and Joel Coen.
You can always tell that it is a Coen brothers film by the way the film moves and sounds. They have a very distinctive film style and it shows very well with this one.
John Getz, Frances McDormand, Dan Hedaya and M. Emmet Walsh are all superb in their roles.
The Coen brothers know how to catch the audience off guard by killing off their lead characters.
Excellent, excellent film that I still can't believe it took me this long to watch.
