The Coen Brothers really start there film career off well with a film which shows their talent and feels as if it was made anytime in there career - it feels Coen and not like a first film. The characters, as always with their films, are great and the plot is intrigueing.

There is not a lot of twists in it and it is fairly simple, but the music, editing, direction, and cinematography make it even more intriguing and worth watching. It is enjoyable and even at times fun (in a darker way) and really is a good even if style tends to shine more than plot.
