Review of Blood Father (2016) by George H — 17 Mar 2017
Blood Father is a better movie than itself. The script is wordy and macho like Aaron Sorkin sat in front of the typewriter on steroids and meth. The editing is jumpy and gives it a twitchy uneasy feel.
But something about this, the direction/story/acting, makes it all work really well, a pot of spicy jambalaya. The action is fantastic, it's a great gritty father-daughter tale, and it's fun.
Also, if you've ever said "Mel Gibson doesn't really say mother fucker enough", your day has finally come.
