Review of Blood Brothers (2008) by Matthew D — 29 Nov 2007
A pretty stylish 1930's American gangster movie set in China. Blood Brothers is essentially a tale of brotherhood and how greed and power has the potential to corrupt these bonds. It also includes the classic Mafia themes of revenge, betrayal, murder and tragedy - all in pretty much equal measure.
The presentation and execution is to "Hollywood" standard but beyond the stylish veneer there is very little else to take away from this movie. All in all, a good watch, especially if you like gangster themed movies.
