Review of Blood (2012) by Josh D — 29 Jul 2013
I found this an impressive and tense thriller, with exceptional acting and believable characters. Characters who's actions resulted in a good few surprisingly moving revelations. I admit it's perhaps a bit slow to find it's feet, but when it did I was toatally gripped and by the end - I loved it.
I'm livid at the bad press this movie has, as I'd say it's the best British thriller I've seen in a good while. Considering a lot of the formulaic high-budget crap cinemas are churning out nowadays I think some reviews of this, from critics and audience alike, are a bit cruel to say the least. I only hope people overlook the sniffier reviews; consider what would drive a cast this good (Bettany, Graham, Cox and Strong, to name but a few) make this low budget film if they didn't see potential in it, and take a punt at 'Blood.'.
I'm certainly glad I did.
