(2011) Blitz.
THRILLER/ ACTION/ SOCIAL COMMENTARY.
Straight for rental and based on a novel by Ken Bruen focusing on a stream of cop killings by Weiss(Aidan Gillen) whose also called "The Blitz" who was responding from a previous engagement from a particular police beating from the hands of Brant(Jason Statham)using a "Dirty Harry"- like behavior and gets humiliated as a result of it, the Blitz then seeks for retribution by playing cat-and-mouse brazingly killing cops at random. Brant reluctantly then accepts once teaming up with Nash played by Paddy Considine whose in charge of the cop killing case happening all over a part of the U.K. but can't get anywhere with it. All it is, is a unrealistic portrayl about the civil rights of the U.K. police which 'the Blitz' leaves lots of D.N.A. all over the place, and the U.K. police still couldn't charge him for a single thing aside from the fact that he's smarter then the police is just dumb and stupid. I like the actors Statham and Considine but this movie doesn't do anything for them.
2 out of 4.
