Review of Blindspotting (2018) by Jill H — 31 Jul 2018
Jill H Hendon A contemporary movie, which realistically reveals the cultural issues of our time - regentrification, police/people violence, guns, socio-economic issues, discrimination, race, hipsters, and more.
Provocative use of juxtaposed contrasts - Oakland-born or not, fair or not, diverse or not, and inclusive or not. Highlights the treacherous single-story slope and leaves the viewer questioning how he/she sees the world.
This movie kept me on the edge of my seat as I wanted the good guys to succeed! Leaves a lasting impression. Artful and Soul piercing. Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal were masterful! An Academy potential!
