Very disturbing, especially as a female from sichuan attending college myself (albeit in the states) ... but can't help thinking how close anyone is from being ensnared in a nightmare scenario such as this.
this kind of thing still happens in rural china, to the point that one must be wary getting on buses to remote locations. the bus getting stopped and robberies and rapes at gunpoint are all a possibility.
