Review of Blind Beast (1969) by Gaspard R — 31 Mar 2008
The Japanese are the best at physchohorror, and this film is one of the best examples of the genre. It's a delicious romp of kinyness, sexual control, and libidous release. It's artfully made, with some very creative camera blocking.
Sadly, today's many films aschew these principles altogether, here the staging is integral to the film's effectiveness.
