Review of Blind Beast (1969) by Art S — 11 Sep 2015
Totally hentai offering from Yasuzo Masumura. At first I thought this was going to be psychedelic horror (OK, sleazy psychedelic horror) - and when the blind sculptor kidnapped the model and brought her back to his studio filled with giant eyes, noses, ears, legs, arms, and breasts (and two gigantic warehouse sized nudes), I thought "yes, bring the weirdness!".
However, things descended further into S&M with both the sculptor and the model getting fully into tactile sensations, including pain. When the sculptor's mother (who abetted the kidnapping) is dispatched, the couple descends into total madness and a very alarming conclusion.
Fortunately, things aren't too graphic but the psychological experience is probably too much (if you don't find that it crosses the line into ridiculous). Caveat emptor.
