Review of Bled (2009) by Sarah P — 19 Nov 2009
A unique take on the vampire thing- a writer is forced onto durgs, which take her to a fantasy world, and the drug attracts vampires to her. Unfortunately, that's it. The acting was bad, the pacing was off, and the tone went from somber to a Disc-world like view of "Friends", and it wouldn't be a bad thing if it fit with the rest (especially the amazing fantasy forest sequences), but whenever these scenes happen they feel from an entirely different movie.
I applaud it's efforts to be something more than a genric, dumb direct-to-DVD crapfest, but that jarring tonal shift killed any investment I had, plus the acting (although there were two ok people) and the lacked pacing, so lack of energy or excitment, really hurt it.
