Review of Blazing Saddles (1974) by L G — 15 Jul 2012
What a great film. It could never be made now due to it's irreverence to race, homosexuality and bigotry. If you can suppress you offence reflex you are in for a rare comic treat. Mel Brooks is at his best making this one of my favorite films.
The film is about a greedy railroad man who wants to destroy a town to put tracks through. He decides to put a black sheriff in charge of the bigoted town to drive them out. Then the fun begins.
