Review of Blame It on Fidel! (2006) by Natalie A — 19 Jan 2008
This was a beautiful film. The colors, the music, the sounds (bare feet on wood floors, bristle brushes in wet hair, children splashing in indoor pools, forks scraping on bakelite dinnerware), the ideas... all together made for a lush story. Most beautiful of all were little Anna's many questions. Important, serious, worthy questions!
"How do you know the difference between group solidarity and sheep behavior?".
"So is anyone ever sure about anything?".
"Is it better to speak or not to speak?".
Anna, tu es mon ame soeur! Nous allons imputer tous nos defauts sur les changements constants.
