Denis Villeneuve has released 2 films in less than a year (Arrival in 2016) that have defied every expectation that general audiences have with science fiction films this decade, which will hopefully give him the name recognition he deserves.
Gosling hits every note, and the contribution of Ana de Armas and Sylvia Hoeks deserve equal recognition to Ford as supporting cast members. Roger Deakins' cinematography will get about 2,049 awards as well.
