I am not a big fan of Blade Runner, I liked it but not as much as others. So when I saw Blade Runner 2049, I was so surprised on how much I loved the film. The movie is a filmmaker's wet dream, the film took the themes from the first film and built on it.
It was less of a film noir and more of a Sci-fi action thriller, but that's one of the reasons I loved about it. Also, The visual, special, and even practical effects were the absolute best effects I've seen in years.
