Review of Blade Runner 2049 (2017) by Max_Slat — 05 Oct 2017
I highly enjoyed this movie, so much that I saw it twice on opening night, first in 2-D and the next in 3-D. The actors do an amazing job, the world looked stunning and the story was engaging.
I didn't expect the story to be what it was, can't go into details without spoiling, but I'm glad they went the direction that they did.
The long runtime didn't bother me too much, nor did the pacing. I enjoyed that it took time to build tension or show off the 2049 cyberpunk world.
The movie is no where near the original, but it would be unfair to expect that from 2049. The times that I noticed the music was when they were re using music from the original. It also lost that film-noir feeling which I wish they kept.
