Review of Blade Runner (1982) by Alex R — 11 Nov 2014
It boasts mesmerizing visuals and hallucinogenic sound effects. The plot is confusing at times, and Harrison Ford seems subdued, despite having the lead role. I liked its existential over-tones concerning the nature of humanity and equality.
The ending is interesting, and I walked away feeling both drained and mystified. In short, its a Gothic noir that needs several viewings (and plenty of Scotch) to fully appreciate.
