Review of Blade (1998) by Stefan G — 11 Sep 2013

Before Twilight, vampires were actual blood-thirsty monsters who killed people, and the good guy went about killing them. This is part of why Blade is a good movie. The main character makes for a really good action hero, potentially fit to join the ranks of other famous action heroes.

The story is a pretty good concept, but I do think it suffers from a few clichés every now and action. The special effects aren't as good as other films, but they still look pretty cool, and they perfectly match the violent nature of the film.

The action scenes are definitely the main attraction of the film, with satisfyingly stylish action that makes the copious levels of violence worth it. If you like action movies, you might want to see this movie.
