Review of Blacktown (2005) by Jonathan D — 22 Dec 2010
A lovely little Australian film chronicling the burgeoning relationship between a white office secretary labouring under a one-sided love affair and an Aboriginal council worker coming to terms with his violent, alcoholic past.
Made on what appears to be a shoe-string budget (its *decidedly* no-frills production values make some Dogme films look overly polished), it is worth seeking out for an antidote to the summer blockbusters.
