Review of BlacKkKlansman (2018) by Emily A — 29 Sep 2018
BlacKkKlansman is a film that attempts to give an unforgiving critique of white America, and though he stumbles in how he portrays the Klan, visionary director Spike Lee is successfully able to craft an aesthetically breathtaking movie, and more importantly, a call to action.
The Movie has a bold and fresh feel, with fantastic choice in music and cinematography, that pairs well with its powerful message. Its portrayal of the klan as dumb though, only serves to work against the movie's and cheapen its message.
