Review of Blackhat (2015) by Nguyen Thuy H — 10 Mar 2017
Despite its admittedly avant-garde aspects, Blackhat ultimately fails because of its condescension towards capitalism (and moder society in general). Who's the one without feelings if not Mann himself, for constructing characters that are blindly defensive? His characters are intentionally skin-deep, and consequently, they cannot cover for his lack of consideration here.
