Review of Blackfish (2013) by Summer S — 06 Jan 2016
Saving the whales is something that is mocked by many people. Yet, after watching the movie blackfish you support it. The movie is very emotional and moving. It tries to expose how terrible SeaWorld affects the animals. The movie makes me, someone who is inlove with ocean animals question whether I want to go to SeaWorld anymore. I enjoyed the movie so much; it moves my heart and makes me question my opinion about SeaWorld.
The movie opens the eyes of the unknown to many people. The way the directors portray the events and how it's both sides of the story is incredible. They start with such a negative thing than pull in the sides of the actual people that were there. There's so many reasons as why to the movie is so powerful. It just hits you in heart. It makes you cry, than smile. The movie shows the passion of the people who connect with the whales.
Even though they are these big scary creatures, they are just like humans. They compare the lives of the whales as to living in a bathtub for 25+ years. The concept of the whole movie is very empowering. It really makes you want to go out and protest in front of sea work. I recommend this movie to everyone of all reasonable ages. Even though there are some graphic scenes the movie overall is so educational and moving. In conclusion the movie is a great success and needs to be brought back.
