Review of Blackfish (2013) by Allen G — 20 Apr 2016

One of the most impressive documentaries that I've ever seen- 'Blackfish' masterfully portrays its topic with all of the severity that it deserves. This isn't just one for those particularly interested in the treatment of non-human animals, it's also essential viewing for those who care about the human-animals too.

Seaworld have yet to, and almost certainly never will, recover from the bad PR that this film has brought them. Indeed, their official 'Seaworld cares' website has its own page accusing Blackfish of propagandising (needless to say, its arguments aren't very convincing).

If this was a bad documentary, it would have sunk under the radar in seconds. But no, it's a great one- it's been almost three years and people still won't shut up about it (myself included).
