Review of Black Water (2008) by Chris K — 23 Feb 2008
A good little chiller apparently based on true events. 3 young vacationing aussies are menaced by a killer croc - ok so it's your typical horror movie set up but what this movie does that makes it chillingly effective is to use real crocs and film the attacks from the victims POV.
In the same way that they did in Wolf Creek, we're allowed to get to like the main characters first before fate deals them the blackest of hands - making what happens even more traumatic.
There was some great tension and you find yourself squirming as our main characters are forced back into the water as they try to escape.
Definately well worth seeing.
