Review of Black Water (2008) by Brian S — 21 Aug 2018
In terms of killer animal films, I have seen better, but much worse too. This one is okay, it just blends in with the rest. The movie is very cheap and minimalist, which means that the camera work is very raw, which is good, but the problem with this movie is that the characters are paper thinly developed and a lot of the film is boring dialogue.
But the flick does manage to redeem itself near the end with some disgusting images and gore and the special effects are remarkable, little CGI is used, and it really looks good. It has a tiny bit of tension, and overall, it's just a killer crocodile film, but for those who like that kind of stuff, check it out !
