Review of Black Swan (2010) by David N — 26 Dec 2012
Perfect. I am not exaggerating when I say that I can't even think of a single flaw in this movie. Natalie Portman (it goes without saying) gives a performance that is so good that it makes her descent from sanity into madness seamless.
The production values and art direction are both slick and glossy, and the wonderful ambiguity of several scenes leaves the viewer to decide for himself or herself, but in a way that manages to be very satisfying.
It also helps that the conclusion to this incredible movie is one of the best endings in modern cinema. An utterly flawless movie.
