Review of Black Swan (2010) by Steve R — 25 Feb 2014
From Darren Aronofsky, the same director as The Wrestler, I expected this film to be an expose on the dark side of the ballet industry. But Black Swan is a old school gothic horror film in new clothing.
Despite some interesting filming techniques, the plot and characters aren't engaging because the line between fantasy and reality are so blurred you can't invest in any of it.
