Review of Black Swan (2010) by Crystal-Byron T — 07 Apr 2015
Aranofsky's career is quickly becoming an imitation job, here's hes mostly doing Polanski. The central story of Portman's character trying to discover her inner Black Swan is interesting enough but not enough to keep me following for over two hours.
The psychological horror is nicely done and erring on the side of bat-shit crazy (not a criticism). This just doesn't feel original though, what happened to the director who brought us the peerless 'Requiem for a Dream'?
