Review of Black Swan (2010) by Joshua W — 10 Oct 2015
Melodrama done right, Natalie Portman's performance of a ballerina struggling with an undiagnosed mental disorder is masterful, as is most of the movies production. The camerawork, score, pacing, and supporting cast all work together seamlessly around her performance to create a captivating piece of cinema.
I personally like to watch it as a horror movie, for what could be more terrifying than losing your grip on reality?
