Natalie Portman won an Oscar for best actress in this film. She portrays Nina Sayers, a ballerina who wins the lead role in Swan Lake. The role is demanding and it stresses her out to the point of going insane.
She starts to see and hear hallucinations. The movie is interesting because you can never tell what is real or imagined.
