Review of Black Swan (2010) by Sam S — 21 Feb 2016
What a beautiful nightmare this movie is, it induces a state of dread and mesmerizes it with beauty, and that is for sure a paradoxical, rare and skilled achievement by Mr Aronofsky.
This movie has a theme, that I love, it is a recurring theme in many of my top 50 favorite movie's. (e.g The Game, The Truman Show, A Beautiful Mind, Shutter Island, The Prestige).
It's a movie that messes with you in a horrible way, it messes with your mind, and it changes you after you've witnessed the film, and it fantastic how this is achieved in this magnificent movie.
To create beauty with horror is a rare feit, but executed so well.
This movie is ambiguous, it has puke-inducing scenes, scenes where you're crying and where you're smiling.
Black Swan is a magnificent movie experience.
