Review of Black Swan (2010) by Viktor B — 21 Jul 2013
Few would think that a film about ballet could be so gripping and Dark. Whether you think of this as a horror film, a drama, or a psychological thriller, it's rife with emotional intensity and may be one of the best portrayals of a spiral down into madness which is elevated by Natalie Portmans award winning performance.
The subtle but increasingly disturbing use of special effects is another key element of this film that puts one in the mind of a person under tremendous psychological duress.
