Sultry Southern oddity, a loving homage to the blues and Christina Ricciâ??s knickers. Despite the provocative premise, this is really just a fairly straightforward indie â??unlikely friendshipâ?? story, elevated by the confidence of the story telling, the great soundtrack and the fine central performances of Jackson and (an almost unrecognisable) Ricci.
