Review of Black Sea (2009) by David L — 16 Jun 2015
Gripping and tense, Black Sea has a good amount of talent involved but ultimately runs out of steam in its final half. This is due to writing inconsistencies. One of the antagonists is a killer, but then remorseful, and then a killer again.
His flip flopping doesn't really work, and the film sort of bungles up all the added up suspense by having grudges sort of just go away and not go anywhere. It was a good effort, but ultimately it could have been much better.
