Review of Black Robe (1991) by Joe Z — 24 Jan 2008
Bleak, tragic, cold. Death strikes fast and brutally.A man question's his faith when he is sent to convert to christianity a population who already have a powerful and magical religion. Lothaire Blutheau's performance as a jesuit priest is heartbreaking as you watch him slowly unravel as he travels deeper into the unknown.
"No farewells, not in this land, no greetings, no names, the forest speaks, the dead see at night".
